Observations and Things to Think About

by Robert T. Wood

If you want to know what people are thinking, listen to what they are not saying.

One sees what they want to see
One hears what they want to hear
If you are liked, what you say and do is respected
If you are disliked, nothing that you say or do is tolerable

Don't waste your time with people who don't like you!

I felt bad when I hadn't been in touch with a friend or relative for a long time.
Then I realized that I always answered the last correspondence; I was the one who made the last contact.
Communicatin works both ways; I no longer feel bad.

Always look for good.
If you look for good, you will find it; if you look for bad, you will find it.
That goes for anything or anyone.

The measurement of time is an invention of man.
It is man’s concept that time progresses at constant and equal intervals; not a fact of nature.
Nor is it a reality that time does constantly progress.
Time can progress as well as regress and it does not necessarily do either at constant or equal intervals.

Where Not to Park

Don't park your car under where the ravins meet!
This was taken at 0730; the poor guy came out to go to work and couldn't see out of his windshield.
